The Hotel is situated in Guardia Piemontese, a town near Cosenza.
Guardia Piemontese is an unique place all over Calabria, because an ethnic-linguistic minority still takes place. Whereas centuries ago there were others all around Calabria. The minority, we are referring to, is that of "Valdesi" and their language is "Occitano".

Their movements, which anticipated the Protestant Reform in the XVI century, was founded in France by Pietro Valdo. The Valdesi, that came from the vallies of Piedmont , spread out in the South of Italy between the XIII and the XIV century. Guardia Piemontese and the others villages were innocent victims of the Saint Inquisition that reached its epilog with the massacre in 1561. Still today, in Guardia, the ancient Provençal language is spoken.

The Terme Luigiane are just 2 km away from the sea. Classified First place, they are the most ancient Spa in Calabria.

The Sulphureous water of the Spa is good for Rheumatism, Dermatitis, Arthritics, Sinusitis etc...
